Winter Health Care Conventions

Carefeed participated in two healthcare conferences this month. The first was the Missouri Association of Nursing Home Administrators, Feb 2nd & 3rd, and the second conference was the Georgia Health Care Association, Feb.20th through the 23rd.

Let me start off by saying I know why they call the conference in Missouri ‘Winterfest’. Springfield, MO received about 13 inches on snow the moment we landed in Springfield. Luckily the meetings and exhibit hall were held at the Oasis Conference Center, which was fitting because no one could leave for at least 24 hours due to the ice and snow. The MANHA show was great! Excellent speakers, attendees and vendors. Carefeed provided a CEU for the first time- Communication Tips for Senior Care, which was very well received.

Now if you are going to a healthcare conference in February go to the Georgia Health Care Association Winter Conference in Alpharetta, GA. The weather in Georgia is usually mild, the airport is convenient, and the convention is held in the beautiful town of Alpharetta. When speaking with Administrators and COO’s the conversations and responses were very similar to other state shows: “We do everything on paper,” “We are sooo antiquated,” “My owners are old-school,” “Just so you know our State is slow to change,” etc., etc. Then, after they see how Carefeed works it was fun to hear comments like “This is amazing,” “I wish. This would save us so much time,” “Are you serious? How much is that?” “Here’s my card, let’s talk next week when you get back.” It feels great to offer a suite of solutions that make the lives of staff members at senior communities easier, drastically reduce costs, help boost census, and keep them compliant!

To visualize Carefeed's solutions, imagine two interlocked Circles:

February Blog (1)

Operational Efficiencies:
Digitize antiquates processes (i.e. paper admission agreement, welcome packet, COVID updates) and seamlessly distribute them via text, email, and voicemail and that auto-chart win their HER.
Automate mundane, but mandatory tasks (i.e. care conference alerts & reminders etc.)

Resident & Family Experience:
Give the family information when and where they want it.
Senior friendly, consistent, positive, communication

BTW if you were wondering when we were in Missouri, we did not mention that we travelled in From Cincinnati, since Sunday the Bengals upset Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs two days prior. That’s not Cincinnati’s style.
